Stadion Model Commentary as of 9/6

The market has gained some short term momentum over the last week, with the S&P 500 gaining nearly 2%; however the market is still down nearly 3% since early August. As investors await any indication of potential future action by the Federal Reserve to taper their bond purchases, some market participants may find that the next few weeks could be an opportunity to position their portfolios ahead of upcoming market fluctuations. The Stadion tactical portfolios on the other hand are built to react to recent changes in market prices and the underlying data driving those trends, and with current intermediate trends still negative we will wait for continued development of the current price action before making any changes to our portfolios’ asset allocations.
